Project Barnabas Workshop Scheduled for Sept. 25th

Operation Barnabas, an initiative of LCMS World Mission's Ministry to the Armed Forces, is a network of care for our nation's military members and their families. The goal of Operation Barnabas is to equip congregations for the critical role they can play in helping military chaplains and other veterans returning from battlefields. Chaplin Mike Moreno from the  Nebraska District of the LCMS is hosting a Military Ministry Workshop at Pilgrim. The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m .and end at 12:30 p.m. This workshop will equip our congregation to reach out to military members in our area, and their families with the love of Christ. Offutt is in its 20th year of continuous deployment ,and our brave men and women and their families still need our support! Cost for the workshop is $10 per person, which covers the cost of lunch, promotional materials and an information booklet for our military families.  This booklet will be to inform them of our support services.  Our Thrivent Financial  chapter will also be providing support. Please contact Lloyd Hasche for more information. Information and video on Project Barabas is available at http://www.lcms.org/pages/internal.asp?NavID=1224
